Kitschy Commando is a conceptual work.

We are a band who has formed around the idea of creating commercial music with a high degree of branding, marketing, and merchandising. We plan to sell action figures, posters, t-shirts, and other bits of Kitsch that license our highly lucrative brand.

We started with the concept and have done extensive market research. We have uncovered the key to designing a strong branding image, with a logo that is iconic and memorable, and a brand that taps into the nostalgia of childhood dreams conditioned to the consumption of commercially viable products.

Once the brand and identity have been developed, we will saturate the airwaves with our music. Using high rotation to etch our lyrics, and tunes, in the recesses of your subconscious. Our hope is that eventually our songs will be associated with time & place in such a way that you will want to listen to our music for no other reason then to remind you of that time & place. If we are successful, the quality of our music will not matter. The endless conditioning (through high rotation) will draw you in to “remember the time, when we used to…”.

While we cannot guarantee good music will be produced by our crack team of musicologists, we feel that becoming the most prolific music machine on the planet will garner at least one or two reasonably good “Greatest Hits” albums for our retirement fund.

Until then, enjoy our attempts to learn music, or just shout a barrage of dissonant cacophony, until we find our groove.
